The Lifecycle of Celestial Objects Parts 1 and 2

I’m so thrilled to be participating in this exciting – and out of this world – exhibition at McIntosh Gallery! My Rogue 45 animation will be presented as well as brand-new paintings from the Women With Impact series.

I’m still putting the final touch on these very large and very pink canvases before they are shipped off later this week. The craters Bok, Leavitt, Resnick, and McAuliffe will be featured in this exhibition.

Stay tuned for a Moon crater drawing workshop at Western University as well as an online panel with the other artists included in this show.

The exhibition is curated by Helen Gregory and Joel Ong.

Through multi-media artworks, scientific models, and interactive installations, this exhibition locates decentered, diverse narratives of space exploration that each propose collaborative explorations of the cosmos. In this unprecedented time of access to and democratization of research and exploratory tools, the exhibition’s co-curators consider a reframing of space not as a ‘new frontier’ for appropriation and extraction, but as a critical site for considering how we can collectively participate in pioneering explorations in the skies above us.⁣
