Is life a collection of random events or a story with a narrative? Bettina Forget’s project One Random Year explores this question. The artist took a one-minute video every day during 2011 and created a 365-minute movie of her life. This project will be screened at Visual Voice Art Gallery in early 2012.
Bettina Forget plays with the concept of semantic tension in her series of videos titled “Forever – Change | Change – Forever.” Is change forever, or are we forever changing?
Bettina Forget participated in the Shopdropping project, as part of the 2009 Biennale de Montreal. Shopdropping (also called “reverse shoplifting”) is when you surreptitiously return merchandise to a store – but in slightly altered form.
